Welcome to Mrs. Young's Fourth Grade Class!
My name is Mrs. Marissa Young and I am going to be your Fourth Grade teacher. This is my seventh year at Clarkdale Elementary School and my fifteenth year teaching. I am looking forward to this year because of all the exploring, learning and the fun we get to have.
I graduated from Tuskegee University with a B.A. in elementary education. I have a masters degree from Central Michigan University in Instructional Education. I have also obtained a teacher leader certificate and my Cobb County Reading Endorsement.
I am from Los Angeles, California, and currently reside in Powder Springs, GA with my husband, Vern and my three daughters Brittney ( 11) , Katelyn and Payten ( twin 5 year olds). In my spare time I enjoy reading, volunteering in my community and couponing.
